Naushad Khan

Secretary Sanat-o-Tijarat for Penrith Jamaat

My name is Naushad Khan, and I am honoured to serve as the Secretary Sanat-o-Tijarat for Penrith Jamaat.

I was born on the beautiful island of Vanua Levu, part of the Fiji Islands, and my early spiritual foundation was shaped through the Labasa Jamaat. In 1981, my family relocated to Suva, where we became part of the Suva Jamaat, before migrating to Sydney, Australia, in 1988 and joining the Sydney Jamaat.

Professionally, I bring over 25 years of senior management experience in the Transport, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Operations sectors. I hold formal qualifications in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) and Asset Management Systems (AMS).

Currently, I serve as the Head of Assurance (National Role) for a major public transport organisation, where I am responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring the effectiveness of integrated Business Management Systems and our national Asset Management framework.

As Secretary Sanat-o-Tijarat, I am committed to supporting our Jama’at members in business, trade, and economic empowerment — with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship, ethical business practices, and self-reliance, in line with the values of the Jama’at and the guidance of Khilafat.
